John B. Bartling Jr.
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
John B. Bartling Jr. John B. Bartling has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Invitation Homes and on the Invitation Homes’ Board of Directors since November 2014 and has extensive executive management experience and 35 years of experience in the real estate industry.

Prior to joining Invitation Homes, Mr. Bartling served as a member of the Management Committee and Global Co-Head of Real Estate and Senior Partner of Ares Management LLC, a global alternative asset and private equity manager. Prior to Ares, he was the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of AllBridge Investments, LLC, a portfolio company of Ares Capital Corporation, owner of WMC Management Company, LLC, a privately held real estate operating company, and President and CEO of Walden Residential. Prior to that, Mr. Bartling served as the CEO and President of Lexford Residential Trust, Inc., a publicly-held multi-family REIT.

Before serving at Lexford, he was Director of the Real Estate Products Group of Credit Suisse First Boston. Previously, he served as an Executive Vice President of NHP Incorporated and held positions at Trammell Crow Residential and Mellon Bank, NA.

Mr. Bartling is the current President of the National Rental Housing Council (NRHC) and former Finance Chair of the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC). He served on the Board of Governors of Commercial Real Estate Finance Council and has served as a director for Lexford Residential Trust, Walden Residential, Arnold Palmer Golf Management (APGM), as well as the Chairman of the Board of Ares Commercial Real Estate. Mr. Bartling is actively engaged in philanthropic endeavors, including having served on the boards of the Children’s Hospital Research for Ohio State University, the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies: Leadership Forum on Pension Fund and Endowment Investments in Domestic Emerging Markets, as well as the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Association of Columbus, Ohio.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Ernest M. Freedman Ernest M. Freedman has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Invitation Homes since October 2015. Mr. Freedman is responsible for all financial, accounting, treasury, capital markets, budgeting and investor relations activities for the company.

Prior to joining Invitation Homes, from 2009 to 2015, Mr. Freedman served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Apartment Investment and Management Company, Aimco, an S&P 500 company that owned and operated multifamily communities. Mr. Freedman joined Aimco in 2007 as Senior Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis and served as Senior Vice President of Finance from February 2009 to November 2009, where he was responsible for financial planning, tax, accounting and related areas. From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Freedman served as Chief Financial Officer of HEI Hotels and Resorts, a privately owned owner and operator of upper-upscale full service hotels. Prior to joining HEI, he held a number of finance and accounting roles with GE Capital in their Real Estate business unit. Mr. Freedman started his career with Ernst & Young, focusing on the real estate industry. Mr. Freedman is a certified public accountant.

Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer
G. Irwin Gordon G. Irwin Gordon has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of Invitation Homes since July 2016. Mr. Gordon is responsible for developing and executing partnerships and programs that expand Invitation Homes’ service offering, drive revenue growth and add value to the Invitation Homes resident experience. His span of responsibility includes all marketing strategy and execution, customer care and maintenance dispatch call center operations, lease administration & development, and public relations & communications. Mr. Gordon is a seasoned corporate executive, with more than 30 years leading organizations both as CEO and as the leader of their marketing efforts.

Mr. Gordon commenced his Invitation Homes career as Chief Marketing Officer in December 2015. Prior to joining Invitation Homes, Mr. Gordon founded The Trion Group, which provides marketing and strategic management consulting services. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Executive Officer at Gruma Corporation, the global leader in corn and flour tortilla products under the brand Mission Foods. Previously, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Suiza Foods (now Dean Foods) and also as Suiza’s Chief Marketing Officer. Earlier in his career Mr. Gordon served as President and General Manager of several international Frito-Lay companies before becoming Senior Vice President of marketing, sales and technology for Frito-Lay. Before joining PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay, he served in various capacities at the Kellogg Company. Mr. Gordon served on the board of Horizon Organic until it was acquired, and currently serves as an independent director of Heska Corporation, where he chairs the compensation committee.

Executive Vice President, Operations and Chief Operations Officer
Bruce A. Lavine Bruce A. Lavine has served as Executive Vice President, Operations and Chief Operations Officer of Invitation Homes since February 2016. He is responsible for leading all aspects of Invitation Homes’ administrative and financial operations for the company’s 13 markets, ensuring optimum performance through the successful implementation of comprehensive programs, initiatives and strategies. From January 2014 to February 2016, Mr. Lavine was a Divisional President for Invitation Homes, where he directly oversaw multiple markets.

Mr. Lavine comes to Invitation Homes with more than 30 years of property management experience in the multi-family industry. Prior to joining Invitation Homes, he served as Senior Vice President at Equity Residential where he was responsible for the Northwest Region of the largest capitalized residential REIT in the nation. At Equity Residential, he managed properties in Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Northern & Southern California and military housing at Joint Base Lewis McCord, totaling more than 30,000 units. Mr. Lavine was a consistent top performer in revenue growth company-wide, as well as relative to competing REIT’s.

Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer
Mark A. Solls Mark A. Solls has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Invitation Homes since August 2015. Mr. Solls is responsible for managing all legal and regulatory affairs for the company's operations, with direct supervision over the human resources and risk management departments.

Mr. Solls has extensive experience as the chief legal officer in a variety of organizations. Prior to joining Invitation Homes, he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of DentalOne Partners, Inc., a dental service management organization, from 2012 to 2015. He previously was a Legal Consultant to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Foundation and served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Concentra Inc., a healthcare management company (acquired by Humana), Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Wyndham International, Inc., a leading hotel company (acquired by Blackstone), and Vice President and General Counsel of DalTile International Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of ceramic tile (acquired by Mohawk).

Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer
Dallas B. Tanner Dallas B. Tanner has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Invitation Homes since April 2012. He is responsible for acquisitions, disposition and asset management across the nation.

Mr. Tanner is a co-founder of Invitation Homes and has helped in the creation of the business since its inception. He has over 15 years of real estate experience through the establishment of numerous real estate platforms prior to Invitation Homes. In 2005 he founded Treehouse Group, for which he privately sourced funds for platform investments, including single-family homes, multi-family properties, manufactured housing, residential land, bridge financing and property management. In addition, Mr. Tanner was a partner in a successful acquisition of First Scottsdale Bank of Arizona. He continues to serve on the board of Treehouse Group’s Pathfinder Ventures, a southwest-focused commercial real estate fund established in 2011. Mr. Tanner served on the Maricopa County Flood Control board in Phoenix, Arizona and on the advisory board of First Scottsdale Bank. He is actively involved in American Indian Services and served as a missionary in the Netherlands and Belgium.
